| The
legendary WILLEM
DE RIDDER
first became known as the initiator and founder of the Amsterdam Paradiso concert venue, as well as being well-known for his radio shows and the publication of magazines such as Hitweek, Suck and Aloha. Like George Maciunas, Yoko Ono, Al Hansen and Eric Andersen, Willem was an early force behind the Fluxus movement. The theatre shows he produced with Annie Sprinkle were simply breathtaking and nothing short of spectacular! He now travels the world in his capacity of storyteller/ artiste extraordinaire and host of his ever-popular workshops. Brinker Media recorded Willem's "Sagen Safaris", a special series of multilingual guided tours of Holland .... and Los Angeles, all done in an inimitable 'Willem way'. Also, Brinker Media (/Eric Van Den Brink) composed and produced Willem's cult hit "Spiegelogie Rap". Most recently Brinker Media produced Willem De Ridder's CD-series of fairy tales, i.e. unabridged versions of traditional folk tales, as well as his "Nederwalk" for the Lowlands Festival and his telling of "Lena Lena", a series of animated cartoons (SORA Corporation, Japan) based on Harriët van Reek's award winning book of the same name. |
